Job summary

SeekMe is seeking a Specialist Stop Smoking Practitioner to support the remote delivery of evidence-based stop smoking services across localities, with the aim of reducing health inequalities. The role offers remote flexibility, working independently and with a central team, and includes comprehensive training.

You will deliver a range of interventions, collaborate with healthcare partners, maintain client records, and contribute to service development and data-informed planning.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Specialist Stop Smoking Practitioner in the community or willingness to undergo training.
• Strong communication skills across diverse audiences (clients, staff, volunteers).
• Proactive, quality-driven mindset with ability to handle a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality one-to-one, group, drop-in, telephone, and online stop smoking interventions using motivational interviewing and the NCSCT Standard Treatment Programme.
• Lead peer support sessions to prevent relapse and provide education on smoking cessation and behaviour change.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community partners to embed cessation services into routine care and reduce health inequalities.
• Maintain accurate client records per policies, analyse local health data to guide service delivery, and balance competing priorities.
