Job summary

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Software Developer Analyst to advance data collection and program administration technology across global programs. You will contribute to the Data Toolkits built on CommCare, design Power BI dashboards, and support a data warehouse on Azure.

Collaboration spans multiple regions and METAL units to improve data-driven decision making. Ideal candidates have strong experience with CommCare development, version control, and agile practices, and can

Qualifications

3–6 years of experience in technology to develop and rollout data or technology platforms for programs.
At least 3 years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting CommCare for large and complex programs.
Experience with source code and version control platforms (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
Strong in team development processes including pair programming, code reviews, and other strategies to ensure high-quality programming.
Strong code quality assurance practices including unit, integration, and regression testing.
Experience with agile software delivery practices and iterative development.
Clear English communication, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain Data Toolkits in CommCare.
Design, develop, and maintain Data Toolkits in CommCare and Power BI dashboards linked to live data.
Review and analyze software requirements and translate them into developer tasks with traceability.
Provide updates and technology insights to stakeholders and document systems.
Develop and maintain data and metadata definitions, documentation, and versioning.
Create technical documentation including diagrams and implementation manuals.
Implement and maintain data quality processes and development standards.
Ensure compliance with IRC data protection, confidentiality, and security policies.
Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support for measurement technology products across regions.
During piloting and rollout, provide training and hyper-support with regional technology teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
