Job summary

New Relic is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (EMEA) based in the UK with deep SaaS commercial experience. You will sit at the deal table, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, and supporting regional sales and partners across EMEA.

You will drive privacy, security, and regulatory strategy while scaling our SaaS business. This role offers autonomy, visibility, and a platform to shape a globally dispersed legal function.

Qualifications

• SaaS commercial contracts drafting and negotiation experience.
• UK-qualified solicitor with good standing to practice law.
• Solid knowledge of data privacy, AI, security, and global compliance in SaaS.
• Proactive GTM and sales alignment with enterprise teams in EMEA.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables autonomously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across functions and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS agreements and data processing addenda.
• Coach regional sales teams on SaaS deal structure and negotiation tactics.
• Collaborate with partners to structure and expand reseller, MSP and system integrator engagements.
• Lead privacy and regulatory strategy across GDPR, DORA and related regimes.
• Refine templates, negotiation playbooks, and escalation workflows as the business grows.
• Provide pragmatic, risk-aware legal guidance to Marketing, Product, Finance, and Contract Managers.
