Version 1 is seeking a skilled Python Developer with trading domain experience to join our growing consultancy. The role focuses on building trading applications in Python and delivering FIX-based solutions.

You will work with traders and quants, optimize performance, and participate in code reviews, testing and deployment. A hybrid UK-working arrangement and occasional business travel are part of the role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
6+ years as a Python developer in the trading domain.
Experience with trading systems, market data, and order management.
Proficient in Python and related frameworks/libraries.
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and data structures.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance trading applications using Python.
Implement and support FIX protocol-based solutions for trading systems.
Collaborate with traders, quants, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software.
Optimize and troubleshoot trading algorithms and systems to ensure high performance and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure code quality and stability.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in the trading domain.
