Job summary

Urban Connect is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (React/Golang) for a 6-month contract. The role is fully remote for UK-based candidates, with responsibilities spanning backend and frontend development, architecture input, and performance enhancements.

You will design scalable backend services in Golang, build React/TypeScript UIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust features in a fast-paced, gaming-oriented product environment. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience developing backend applications with Golang.
• Experience building modern web applications using React.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Immediate start is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Golang.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and fellow Engineers to deliver new platform features.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
• Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability.
• Support CI/CD processes and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
