Job summary

TipTopJob in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality affordable homes across our development programme. You will manage a portfolio from acquisition through to completion and provide leadership to Development Managers and Project Officers across your region.

Based home-based with North coverage, you will ensure schemes are delivered on time and on budget, drive opportunities, coach teams, manage budgets and reporting, and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering housing developments from acquisition to completion.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing delivery and planning processes.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of a programme of affordable housing developments from pre-contract stage through to completion.
• Managing complex and large-scale development projects through design, procurement and construction phases.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, developers, landowners, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
• Supporting the identification, appraisal and acquisition of new business opportunities and development sites.
• Leading planning application submissions and Section 106 negotiations.
• Providing leadership, coaching and support to Development Managers and Project Officers.
• Managing budgets, forecasts, cashflows and financial performance across your development portfolio.
• Ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and programme data management.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful handover of completed homes for sale or lettings.
• Deputising for the Head of Development where required and providing leadership during periods of high demand.
