Job summary

Athona Ltd is seeking a Senior Clinical Advisor to join an NHS 111 service in Croydon and Barking. This locum role offers flexible shifts (days, nights, evenings and weekends) in an office setting with an hourly rate of £31.08–£47.29 via Umbrella or PAYE, providing continuity through regular shifts and growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse (NMC) with significant urgent care experience and NHS Pathways or MTS training, leading clinical assessments, mentoring

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with significant post‑registration urgent care, primary care, or emergency experience.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• NHS Pathways‑trained or MTS trained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remote clinical assessments and advice using NHS Pathways and clinical judgment.
• Provide mentoring and escalation support to Clinical Advisors and other team members.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely patient care.
• Contribute to audits, service improvement, and clinical governance.
