Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London seeks a Senior Bid Manager to own a varied portfolio of water and civil engineering bids from qualification to submission. You will coordinate inputs from technical, commercial and operational specialists, maintain schedules and ensure timely, coherent, and well-governed proposals.

Applicants should have proven experience in main contractor bids, strong stakeholder management, and a solid grasp of pricing and risk across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing bids for a main contractor with water-sector or civil engineering focus.
• Experience handling concurrent bids with clear programmes, action tracking and review schedules.
• Ability to coordinate pre-construction inputs from technical, commercial and operations specialists.
• Strong stakeholder influence to secure timely inputs and manage dependencies.
• Understanding pricing strategy, program, and contractual implications on submissions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools to produce coherent submissions.
• APMP accreditation or a relevant bid/project management qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of opportunities from qualification through submission and post-tender review.
• Establish plans, define responsibilities, manage dependencies and align stakeholders.
• Maintain momentum across bids and ensure input/output is complete and coherent.
• Apply governance to deliver submission-ready outputs and credible methodologies.
