Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom with remote working mode. You will design and maintain AWS infrastructure, optimize CI/CD workflows, and implement secure cloud solutions for complex environments.

You will collaborate with distributed teams, drive automation, ensure compliance, and support deployments across global services using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and Global Accelerator.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AWS experience with services like Global Accelerator, Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, S3 and Lambda.
• Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance requirements.
• Ability to assess and mitigate technical and capacity risks.
• Excellent communication for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience driving technical discussions in distributed environments.
• Knowledge of AWS cost management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Set up Blue-Green deployment for zero-downtime releases.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with code scanning tools (SAST, DAST).
• Automate deployments using Terraform and AWS services.
• Manage and optimize AWS components including Global Accelerator, Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, S3, and Lambda.
• Perform disaster recovery testing and support upgrades.
• Address cloud compliance issues and maintain security best practices.
• Monitor AWS cost utilization and implement optimization strategies.
• Identify and mitigate risks across systems.
• Build serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to align technical decisions and delivery goals.
