4Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced SEND Casework Officer to join a Local Authority team, handling EHCP caseloads and ensuring deadlines are met.

The role is remote with one day per month in the Oxford office, on-rolling contract and a daily umbrella rate of £250-£280, starting ASAP. You will support children with Special Educational Needs through effective coordination with families and professionals.

Formación

• Experience in SEND or EHCP casework, ideally within a Local Authority.
• Strong knowledge of statutory EHCP processes and relevant legislation.
• Experience managing a complex caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with mediation or SEND Tribunal processes would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a designated caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
• Coordinate Annual Reviews, Phase Transfers and cases involving children moving into or out of the Local Authority.
• Monitor EHCP provision and ensure statutory deadlines are met.
• Manage complex casework, including EOTAS and Elective Home Education cases.
• Prepare and amend EHCPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare reports and evidence for decision‑making panels, mediation and SEND Tribunal proceedings.
• Liaise with families, schools, health and social care professionals and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with Local Authority policies and procedures.
• Support quality assurance and contribute to effective SEND service delivery.
