Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is hiring a Security Architect - SC Cleared for a home-based role with occasional travel to London or Croydon. The contract is Inside IR35 with an initial 6-month length and a daily rate of £600-£700.

You will validate the security architecture, ensuring Secure by Design principles and progress designs to beta. You will engage stakeholders, develop SbD artefacts, and ensure governance alignment while collaborating with DevOps and alpha-phase teams to evolve

Qualifications

• Security architecture delivery across large, complex IT landscapes in regulated environments.
• Experience with various security architectures (cloud, distributed, monolithic).
• Ability to drive design decisions and governance processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and senior-level influence.
• Proven track record in Secure by Design artefacts and documentation.
• Ability to work with Alpha-phase DevOps and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Verify and develop security artefacts and high/low level designs.
• Close gaps in discovery outputs to complete security designs.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather information and workshop solutions.
• Ensure solutions are compliant with Home Office knowledge and standards.
• Create artefacts aligned with SbD processes and governance.
• Validate options through peer engagements and design forums.
• Collaborate with DevOps to explain architectures and adapt to feedback.
• Support requirements for future procurements and development activity.
