The role offers long-term remote work and strong progression; you will join a collaborative team embracing continuous improvement. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in Scala, Akka/Play, REST APIs, and CI/CD, with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years commercial Scala experience.
• Experience with Akka/Play framework.
• Strong relational and NoSQL DB experience (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• RESTful API design and integration experience.
• Unit testing with ScalaTest or Spec2; experience with TDD/BDD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade Scala applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver greenfield projects.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD and automation initiatives.
