Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking an experienced scaffolding estimator to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity, serving as the crucial link between our property survey team and our network of scaffolding subcontractors across the UK.

You will analyse remote property data, photographs, and solar site assessments to produce accurate, compliant scaffolding cost estimates before issuing work to our subcontractor partners.

Qualifications

• Proven scaffolding estimating experience.
• UK qualifications in scaffolding/estimating or recognised trade qualifications.
• Knowledge of TG20 e-Guide, SG4 guidance and modern scaffolding techniques.
• Experience dealing with contractors and site personnel.
• Comfortable working remotely using digital survey software and online PM platforms.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Review property data, photos, and solar site assessments to determine access requirements.
• Produce accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities for standard and bespoke scaffolding per TG20.
• Communicate project scopes to subcontractors, negotiate rates, and align estimates with commercial terms.
• Ensure all proposed solutions meet UK health & safety regulations, NASC guidance, and industry standards.
• Maintain clear digital records in the project management system for handovers from estimation to subcontractor.
