Job summary

Viqu Limited is seeking a Rubrik Architect for a 6-month remote contract to review and enhance an enterprise backup and recovery platform. You will assess current implementation, identify gaps, and deliver improvements across data protection, cyber resilience, automation and recovery capabilities.

The role emphasizes hands-on Rubrik work, cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS) and IaC with Terraform/Ansible to optimise the architecture and enable scalable protection strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven Rubrik implementation and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with hybrid/integrated on-prem and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of security and disaster recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Review the existing Rubrik implementation, architecture and configuration, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Enhance backup, recovery and cyber resilience capabilities, including ransomware protection and disaster recovery.
• Design and optimise Rubrik solutions across on-premises, virtualised and cloud environments.
• Develop technical designs, engineering standards and recommendations to support the platform's ongoing development.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code to improve consistency and operational efficiency.
• Improve monitoring, reporting and dashboards to provide visibility of platform health, compliance and recovery readiness.
• Test and validate backup integrity and recovery capabilities against business requirements.
• Work with architecture, engineering and operational teams to deliver technical improvements and define the future direction of the platform.
