Job summary

Climate17 is seeking an accomplished Manager, Energy Asset Management to oversee a portfolio of renewable energy investments across financial, operational, tax and contractual lifecycles. You will collaborate with developers, sponsors and investors to protect returns and guide projects from construction through substantial completion and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years renewable energy experience.
• Experience with solar, BESS or other renewable energy assets.
• Familiarity with PPAs, O&M, EPC, interconnection and other project agreements.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Understanding of ITC/PTC, tax equity and renewable energy investment structures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial, operational, tax and contractual performance of renewable energy investments.
• Review project financial statements, budgets, forecasts and project-finance models.
• Monitor project milestones through mechanical completion, placed-in-service and substantial completion.
• Review and manage cash flows, waterfalls, distributions, asset management fees and investor returns.
• Review tax documents and assess tax considerations impacting investor returns.
• Manage sponsor consent requests and contractual obligations.
• Prepare investor reporting and communications.
• Support substantial completion funding and transaction-closing workstreams.
• Perform asset valuations and support project exits at the end of compliance periods.
• Identify and resolve operational, financial and contractual risks.
• Build strong relationships with developers, sponsors and investors.
• Mentor junior asset management professionals and contribute to process improvement.
