Job summary

VoCoVo is seeking a hands-on QA Engineer to validate software, firmware and hardware across our connected-store platform. You will own manual and exploratory testing while helping to introduce automation within sprint‑based Agile teams.

You’ll collaborate with engineers to design automated checks, analyze Linux logs for root cause, and ensure releases are reliable; monthly visits to Oxfordshire or Cheltenham offices are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience designing manual tests for software systems.
• Hands-on test automation with scripting languages.
• Strong Linux command-line and log analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, Git and test-management tools.
• Agile delivery experience with sprint-based teams.
• Defect management, regression testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual tests for software, firmware and hardware peripherals.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual tests and implement automated checks.
• Examine Linux logs and telemetry to diagnose defects and root-cause issues.
• Test and validate internally developed and third-party software.
• Perform compatibility and regression testing across configurations.
