Job summary

Arden University is seeking an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology to deliver teaching and supervise dissertations under the guidance of a Senior Lecturer. You will also act as a named Personal Academic Coach and develop digital teaching materials that meet defined learning objectives.

You will undertake formative and summative assessment, provide high-quality feedback, and engage in professional development with support. The role emphasizes remote work with occasional campus involvement.

Qualifications

• A BSc degree in Psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the BPS.
• Experience teaching or providing academic support is desirable.
• Specialism in occupational/business psychology with ability to teach quantitative and qualitative methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent teaching, learning, dissertation supervision and academic support to students.
• Act as Named Personal Academic Coach for a defined caseload of students.
• Create high-quality digital teaching material aligned with learning objectives.
• Undertake formative and summative assessment marking with timely feedback.
• Reflect on teaching practice and pursue skill development with guidance.
• Undertake administrative and quality assurance activities to support teaching and learning.
• Contribute to School level activities such as ethics reviews and research methods workshops.
