Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Statistician for EMEA, offering remote options across multiple locations. You will lead biostatistics activities across drug development projects, mentor statisticians, and collaborate with sponsors to deliver high-quality analyses from protocol to CSR.

The role requires a PhD or MSc in biostatistics or a related field with extensive clinical trials experience, strong R programming skills, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in biostatistics or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in clinical trials; ability to lead multiple projects.
• Proficiency in R programming.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and statistical design.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with regulatory submissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as statistical department resource, mentors biostatisticians and develops training materials.
• Directs activities of biostatistics personnel on projects to ensure timely, high-quality work.
• Provides support across all statistical tasks from protocol to CSR.
• Prepares SAPs and mock-up displays for tables, listings, and figures.
• May lead as Lead Biostatistician for protocol statistics and CSR input.
• Creates/reviews programming specifications for analyses.
• Ensures study documentation meets protocol criteria and data capture needs.
• Interacts with sponsor, cross-functional teams, and project stakeholders.
• Plans ahead for internal meetings and contributing ideas.
