Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Statistician for Early Phase, fully home based (remote anywhere in Europe). The role leads statistical strategy across clinical development, mentors biostatisticians, and collaborates with sponsors to influence trial design.

The position emphasizes expert programming, SAPs, and cross-team coordination. The ideal candidate will drive high-quality statistical outputs from protocol through CSR, and may serve on complex projects and regulatory interactions.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and execution of a clinical development plan, including defining Go/No Go framework.
• Uses simulations and statistical strategy to inform and influence trial design decisions.
• Mentors biostatisticians and oversees training plans or materials for Biostatistics associates.
• Directs the activities of other biostatistics personnel on assigned projects to ensure timely completion of high quality work.
• Provides support across all statistical tasks during the lifecycle of the project, from protocol to CSR.
• Prepares or oversees the preparation of Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and mock-up displays for tables, listings, and figures.
• May be responsible as Lead Biostatistician for protocol, randomization scheduling, and study report input.
• Creates or reviews programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
• Reviews SAS/R annotated CRFs, database design, and other study documentation to meet protocol criteria.
