Job summary

Mint Selection is seeking an experienced Power Systems & Compliance Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. The role focuses on power systems, grid compliance and technical assurance across a portfolio of UK energy assets.

The position is remote with periodic London office presence, start ASAP, and involves coordinating with network operators, OEMs and consultants to ensure regulatory submissions and ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong background in power systems engineering and/or grid compliance.
• Knowledge of the UK Grid Code and DNO connection requirements.
• Experience with generation, energy storage or other grid-connected assets.
• Understanding of power system modelling and network studies.
• Experience within an energy company, IPP, utility, consultancy or network environment.

Responsibilities

• Support grid compliance and technical requirements across a portfolio of energy assets.
• Manage requirements relating to grid connections and connection agreements.
• Undertake and review power system studies, including load flow, fault level and dynamic assessments.
• Liaise with network operators, OEMs and technical consultants.
• Review technical studies, modelling and engineering documentation.
• Identify compliance gaps and support the implementation of technical solutions.
• Assist with regulatory submissions, audits and ongoing compliance activities.
