Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform team in London. You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend services, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, TTS, and external APIs, with a focus on performance, scalability, and a great user experience.

You will lead API design and collaborate across teams to ensure architecture aligns with product strategy, delivering fast, reliable services in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.
