Holt Automotive is currently working on behalf of our client, a successful nationwide main dealer for plant machinery. They are looking to expand their team with an experienced Remote Plant Engineer to cover Exeter and surrounding areas.

The Remote Plant Engineer role offers a competitive basic salary of up to £40,000 plus overtime paid at double time after the first 4 hours (£50K OTE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Working on diggers, excavators, dumpers, and other plant machinery
• Completing all relevant paperwork daily via phone or tablet
• Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
• Ordering parts accurately and working closely with the parts department
• Collaborating with the service supervisor
• Inspecting and repairing machines at the depot per manufacturer’s specifications and regulations
• Ensuring machinery safety and notifying managers of any defects or unsafe equipment

Minimum Requirements:

• Level 2 NVQ in Plant/Machine Maintenance
• Effective communication skills, confident in verbal, written, and telephone interactions
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good time management and prioritization skills
• Drive and determination to achieve goals and improve processes
• Analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem solving
• Commercial awareness of organizational realities
