Key Responsibilities:Review architectural plans and technical drawings to ensure compliance with Building RegulationsIdentify discrepancies or issues within submitted plans and provide clear, constructive feedbackLiaise with architects, developers, and internal colleagues to support the planning and approval processProvide professional advice on Building Control standards and regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate records of plan checks and correspondenceDeliver timely assessments to support service performance targetsRemain up to date with current and emerging legislation and industry standardsCommunicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with external stakeholders
Essential Requirements:Demonstrable experience in Building Control with strong knowledge of current Building RegulationsMinimum Class 2F RegistrationProficiency in assessing technical drawings and construction specificationsExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solvingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple prioritiesCompetency in using digital tools and platforms for remote plan checking
