Job summary

Snappy Shopper is hiring a PHP Developer to join our backend team. You will build core platform services, integrate with retail partner systems, and help scale order processing. This hands-on role involves writing, reviewing, and shipping production code, and contributing to CI/CD and testing practices.

You’ll work with Product, Growth and Support to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, design backend features, and help improve performance and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience building web apps in PHP using Laravel or Symfony.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend features and APIs in PHP.
• Integrate third-party services and partner systems via APIs and webhooks.
• Maintain and improve codebase with refactors and performance tuning.
• Write automated tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Review pull requests and share best practices.
• Investigate incidents and participate in post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Support and Operations to translate business needs.
