Job summary

Merrick UK, part of Merrick & Company, is seeking an experienced NEC4 Project Manager to lead complex pharmaceutical and biocontainment projects across the UK. The role prioritises client liaison, schedule control, and cost management within multidisciplinary teams.

This full-time, remote-friendly position requires travel within the UK and occasional international travel up to 50%. British citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required due to national security considerations.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience managing scope, programme, resources, and budgets on large-scale projects (>£2M consulting fees).
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• 3+ years of experience in GMP pharmaceutical cleanroom manufacturing environments.
• Proven capability in change management, stakeholder engagement, and detailed programme management.
• Successful track record in client-facing roles.
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing varied project types.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain oversight of all assigned projects alongside the Project Director.
• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
• Efficiently plan and allocate resources across multiple projects, maximising utilisation and avoiding conflicts.
• Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets.
• Demonstrated experience delivering containment projects in pharmaceutical environments with GMP considerations.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across schedule, resources, and cost.
