Person specification

Knowledge, Skills and Training

  • Registered Health Practitioner
  • Relevant full Master's degree or extensive equivalent experience in the relevant specialty
  • Exceptional proven leadership skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Trust's strategies

Job Specific Experience

  • Evidence of effective leadership and risk management skills
  • Experience of complex service delivery including multi-agency working
  • Practical experience of facilitating and managing change
  • Able to demonstrate wide knowledge of health policy and its application in practice
  • Experience of developing service-related plans and strategies and joint working with colleagues in a matrix involvement approach

Managerial/Supervisory Experience

  • Experience of operational management at Band 7 or above
  • Able to undertake clinical supervision and systematic peer caseload review of colleagues on an individual or group basis

Finance/Resources

  • Experience of budget management

Information Technology/Resources

  • Experience of patient record systems
  • Able to manipulate data, service, and performance related to designing written and visual information

Personal Qualities & Attributes

  • Able to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization in both written form and in small or large groups, with the ability to motivate and persuade individuals and teams, particularly in areas of service and performance
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and priorities
