Overview
GM Coachwork Ltd are a major converter of high-quality wheelchair accessible vehicles, 17 seat school Minibus, and bespoke vehicle conversions, to a wide range of end users including the Motability charity, local councils, schools, and private retail customers. We are seeking to recruit a Salesperson into the Minibus department to sell our range of Bespoke Minibus and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, to cover the Midlands and North of England.
Responsibilities
- Generating and following up sales enquiries
- Contacting & visiting existing and potential customers
- Attending shows/exhibitions to promote the product
- Keeping all accounts and enquiries up to date with current information using our in-house system
- Following up on sold vehicles to ensure vehicles are performing well
- Ensure customers are contacted regarding renewal of old vehicles
- Liaising with finance companies
- Work with the admin team to ensure customers’ orders run smoothly
Essential skills and Experience
- Proven extensive sales experience is highly beneficial
- Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous track record of constructing and concluding sales transactions including objection handling and negotiation skills
- Ability to provide product information with excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills – i.e., arranging demos with drivers
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and determined
- Good self-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Personal Circumstances
- Full UK/EU Driving Licence
- Eligible to work in the UK
What we offer
- Basic salary of £35,000.00 + (dependent on experience)
- Commission – generous commission structure - with an initial guarantee period to be agreed
- Typical working hours: 08:30 – 5:00pm Monday to Friday and some weekends (generally for shows)
- 28 days holiday including bank holiday, plus an additional day for every year after 5 years’ service, up to a maximum of 33 days holiday – including bank holidays
