Job summary

Ignite Hubs is seeking an experienced Maths Programme Lead & Instructor to take ownership of developing and delivering our Maths programme. You will lead a small team of volunteer instructors, shape live and online classes, and ensure a high-quality learning experience across platforms.

The role focuses on helping children and young people feel confident about Maths, building engaging curricula, and expanding the programme within a growing charity setting.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mathematics or a numerical subject.
• Familiarity with GCSE Mathematics National Curriculum.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or supporting Maths learning.
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly, accessibly and engagingly.
• Interest in exploring different approaches to teaching Maths that resonate with children and young people.
• Confidence leading and coordinating a small team.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to develop the programme in a growing charity environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of volunteer Maths instructors and contributors.
• Develop and deliver the Maths programme for live classes and the digital platform.
• Build high‑quality live Maths classes around existing Level 1–3 courses.
• Improve learners' confidence in Maths and foster a positive relationship with the subject.
• Coordinate efforts across live classes and online learning platforms.
