Job summary

Giacom, a UK provider of Communications, Cloud, Hardware and Billing platforms, is hiring three manual QA engineers. You will uphold software quality, identify defects, and ensure the product meets user needs across web and API layers.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk-based testing approaches.
• Ability to design and execute test plans for moderately complex features.
• Experience across APIs, web apps, and backend systems.
• Familiarity with multi-browser testing and testing in varied environments.
• Strong defect reporting with clear severity vs priority.
• Experience validating data with SQL or similar databases.

Responsibilities

• Apply risk-based testing to prioritize test effort and improve QA practices.
• Design and execute test plans and cases for features with clear documentation.
• Contribute to sprint delivery by completing tests within deadlines and reporting progress.
• Collaborate with developers, PMs and designers to translate requirements into test coverage.
• Track testing progress, defects, and coverage; escalate risks promptly.
• Log environment issues and escalate blockers to testing progress.
• Investigate defects, provide reproduction steps, and assess impact with the team.
