Job summary

Axon Moore are partnering with a growing, employee-owned business in South Manchester to appoint a Management Accountant. The role oversees end-to-end transactional and month-end duties, including day-to-day management of Xero and serving as the main finance contact for clients and the business.

The role offers a 4-day week option and is mostly remote with 1–2 days in the office. AAT or QBE with 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or QBE with relevant experience in a similar finance role.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a finance department with knowledge of month-end accounting procedures.
• Experience of working with Xero Accounts system is beneficial.
• Strong understanding and competent user of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and able to work independently in the office and from home.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Finance to support month-end and management accounts preparation.
• Raise and issue client invoices and process supplier invoices, cross checking and posting invoices to Xero.
• Reconcile monthly expenses and corporate credit card statements, collating receipts and posting on Xero.
• Cashflow and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with the collation of monthly P&L reports.
