Venn Group is recruiting a Locum Property Lawyer for a Midlands Council in a fully remote arrangement. The role requires handling a broad range of property matters, including leases, disposals, title work and grazing agreements, with pragmatic advice to non-legal stakeholders.

Initial 3-month term with potential extension, rate up to £60 per hour umbrella. The successful candidate will possess property law experience, strong drafting and advisory skills, and the ability to work autonomously

Qualifications

• Ideally a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with relevant property law experience.
• Experience handling commercial or local authority property matters.
• Experience with leases, disposals and title work.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills.
• Ability to provide pragmatic legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Managing a varied caseload of property transactions on behalf of the Council.
• Advising on Right to Buy sales, property disposals and auction sales.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, licences and other property documentation.
• Undertaking title reviews and preparing reports on title.
• Advising on grazing agreements and other land-related arrangements.
• Providing general property law advice to Council departments and internal stakeholders.
• Working closely with client departments to understand requirements and provide clear, practical legal advice.
• Progressing matters efficiently and managing competing priorities across a varied caseload.
