Job summary

Menlo Park Recruitment is seeking a qualified General Practitioner for a remote locum role in Workington, Cumbria. The position runs for 2 months with an ASAP start and involves handling clinical workflow, letters, labs and results, including calling patients about blood results and outcomes from letters.

You will work six sessions weekly with a full day of 8.5 hours and flexible days, and you must have your own remote EMIS Web access, be GMC registered, and on the UK Performer's List.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP required and registered with the GMC.
• Must be on UK Performer's List and have EMIS Web access.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical workflow, letters, labs and results end-to-end.
• Call patients about blood results and outcomes from letters.
• Provide remote GP services for a 2-month ASAP block, six sessions per week.

Background

A great Remote Locum GP opportunity has opened at a practice in Workington, Cumbria. The practice is looking for a locum remote GP to start ASAP for 2 months. The work is clinical workflow, letters, labs and results, with the practice wanting the Locum GP in this role to deal with each item fully, including ringing patients about blood results and outcomes from letters, so nothing comes back to the practice GPs. Ideally, the practice is looking for 1-2 GPs to fill this tole. The surgery – EMIS Web practice. Training will be given on the practice system.

£650 per full day

Work hours

8:30 - 6:30 practice hours

Your role

• Six sessions a week, with the potential for more
• A full day is 8.5 hours clinical time
• Flexible days, whether full days, mornings or afternoons
• Two-month block with an ASAP start
• Covering clinical workflow, letters, labs and results and dealing with each item fully, including calling patients about blood results and outcomes from letters
• Patient calls take place within surgery hours, while reading and task work can be done out of hours
• You must be a qualified General Practitioner and be registered with the GMC and UK Performer's List
• You'll need your own remote EMIS Web access, as the practice does not provide any tech equipment
