Locum Ready is seeking a Locum General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in March. The role offers flexible, well‑organised sessions within a supportive primary care environment and a clear structure for daily clinical work.

You will manage a varied caseload, deliver high‑quality patient assessments and provide continuity where required, with strong administrative support and established clinical workflows to ensure efficient session delivery.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner with UK license to practice.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine GP clinics including urgent cases.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations in the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
