Sellick Partnership is recruiting an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join a Local Authority on a fully remote basis.

This is an initial 3-month assignment with a strong possibility of extension, offering a competitive hourly rate. The role covers prosecutions, debt recovery and education law, with duties including drafting pleadings and advising officers.

Qualifications

• Experience in Local Authority litigation.

Responsibilities

• Managing a mixed litigation caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
• Providing legal advice on prosecutions, debt recovery, education law, and related litigation matters.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, court applications, and other legal documentation.
• Advising officers across the authority on a range of contentious matters.
• Attending hearings and representing the authority where required.
