Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting an experienced Litigation Lawyer for a Local Authority on a fully remote basis for an initial 3-month assignment with a competitive hourly rate. You will manage a varied caseload including prosecutions, debt recovery, and education law.

Qualifications

• Experience as a litigation lawyer within local government or public sector preferred.
• Strong drafting and advisory skills across litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Managing a mixed litigation caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
• Providing legal advice on prosecutions, debt recovery, education law, and related litigation matters.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, court applications, and other legal documentation.
• Advising officers across the authority on a range of contentious matters.
• Attending hearings and representing the authority where required.
