Job summary

NatWest Group seeks a Lead Specialist Data Architect to define strategic target architecture and roadmaps for the People, Marketing, LG&RA and Corporate Affairs functions, ensuring alignment with the bank's architecture standards.

You will promote shared capabilities, educate stakeholders, and collaborate with peers to identify use cases for adoption while leading enterprise and solution architectures across delivery programmes.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of modern technologies such as Cloud, microservices and AI, with agile architecture and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience in overseeing and assuring the quality of architecture designs, including architecture reviews and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategic target architecture and roadmaps for the designated functions; ensure alignment with enterprise target architecture.
• Promote and drive the adoption of shared capabilities by creating playbooks, educating stakeholders and identifying use cases.
• Lead realisation of enterprise and solution architectures across development lifecycles.
• Provide technical guidance and champion architecture patterns and practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evolve architectures delivering business value.
• Foster a DevOps mindset and embed architecture guidance into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify opportunities/threats to current architectures and escalate when needed.
• Partner with EDT and Data Factory teams to shape and govern data products.
