Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking a Lead Specialist Data Architect to define the strategic target architecture and roadmap for the People, Marketing, LG&RA and Corporate Affairs functions. You will ensure alignment with the bank’s enterprise targets and lead the development of architectural playbooks and patterns.

You will promote shared capabilities, educate stakeholders, and collaborate with peers to identify use cases for adoption while guiding architecture across engineering teams and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of modern technologies such as Cloud, microservices and AI.
• Strong grasp of agile architecture and DevOps practices.
• Experience overseeing and assuring the quality of architecture designs.

Responsibilities

• Leading the definition of the strategic target architecture and roadmap for the specified functions.
• Promoting and driving adoption of shared capabilities by creating playbooks and educating stakeholders.
• Partnering with key teams to shape, support and govern Data Products in line with enterprise standards.
• Providing technical guidance, resolving architectural impediments, and championing architecture patterns.
• Partnering with the Enterprise Data Transformation (EDT) programme and Function Data Product Factory teams to shape data products.
• Promoting a DevOps mindset by embedding architecture guidance in CI/CD pipelines.
• Leading with specialist expertise to assure quality of solution architecture within high-significance programs.
• Identifying opportunities/threats to current/target architectures and escalating to Architecture Council.
