Total Legal Solutions is seeking an experienced Law Costs Draftsman for a fully remote role. You will manage your own caseload, draft bills of costs, prepare points of dispute, and coordinate with solicitors to ensure accurate, timely submissions.

We value meticulous attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of costs law and court rules. This is a flexible, remote opportunity with long-term development within a specialist legal costs practice.

Qualifications

• Experience as Law Costs Draftsman.
• Strong understanding of costs law, procedure and court rules.
• Experience drafting bills of costs and related documents.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed bills of costs for assessment.
• Draft costs schedules and statements of costs.
• Prepare points of dispute and replies.
• Review files and assess recoverable costs.
• Manage a varied caseload from instruction to completion.
• Negotiate costs and support the settlement process.
• Work closely with solicitors and other legal professionals.
• Ensure all work is accurate and completed within timescales.
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout each matter.
