Job summary

Field is hiring for a Land and Origination Lead to secure land agreements for a portfolio of development and pre-construction battery projects, while originating new opportunities for novel technologies. The role requires strong negotiation, strategic planning, and leadership across a remote UK setting.

This role offers a competitive package in the £85,000–£105,000 range, with hybrid working, a share scheme, and extensive development and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading land acquisition in BESS, renewables or related infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and close third party land deals.
• Strong knowledge of GB planning, environmental and grid considerations affecting site viability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Land team, with budget responsibility and KPI reporting.
• Provide strategic input on novel technologies and commercial implications.
• Identify development opportunities and generate land-related opportunities; assess grid connections and site viability.
• Engage with landowners, agents and solicitors to negotiate and close land agreements.
• Close land deals including options, easements and other commercial terms to move projects into delivery.
