Job summary

NCFE is recruiting Examiners for a flexible remote contract to mark the T Level Technical Qualification in Science (Occupational Specialism Laboratory Science). You will mark external assessments and submit results across marking windows in autumn 2026 and summer 2027, ensuring fair and accurate outcomes for learners.

Ideal candidates have Level 3+ in laboratory science and current or recent teaching or relevant occupational experience, with strong quality assurance understanding and the ability

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in laboratory science or closely related subject area.
• Current or recent teaching experience at Level 3 or above in a laboratory science subject, or significant recent occupational experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain the standard set by the Chief Examiner, applying the mark scheme consistently and accurately.
• Report suspected malpractice or safeguarding concerns to the Assessment Delivery team.
• Attend examiner standardisation and other meetings as required, standardisation events scheduled remotely for weekdays 9.00am–5.00pm.
• Maintain confidentiality of NCFE assessment materials, learner evidence and learner details; report breaches to the Assessment Delivery team.
