Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a remote development team on a Home Office project, building secure, scalable Java applications and services.

You'll work across Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices, contributing to the full development lifecycle from design and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java SE/EE and Spring.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy Java applications and services.
• Build and enhance Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Spring Data solutions.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
• Work with relational databases and SQL.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams and fellow developers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across development processes and tooling.
