Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Software Craftsperson with Java and Angular expertise for a Canada-based remote role. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Java development and Angular experience, with a passion for craftsmanship, TDD, and modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java fundamentals, OO design and patterns.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring.
• Strong knowledge of Java Collections, multithreading, and Hibernate.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven build tools.
• Ability to write effective unit tests with JUnit.
• Hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of Angular concepts: components, state, data binding, routing.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own feature-level design, development, testing, and delivery across backend and frontend applications.
• Build clean, maintainable, and scalable software using modern engineering principles.
• Develop backend services using Java with strong OO concepts and patterns.
• Create responsive frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Participate in product teams managing the full development lifecycle.
• Apply XP practices such as pair programming, CI/CD, and test-first development.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to meet user needs.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance.
• Contribute to engineering improvements, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Engage in modern DevOps practices and collaborative software development.
