LanguageLine Solutions UK is seeking an Italian freelance telephone interpreter to work from home across the United Kingdom. You will render accurate consecutive interpretations between English and Italian, maintaining neutrality and professional conduct, and handling calls with sensitivity to cultural nuances.

Candidates should possess strong language proficiency, industry terminology familiarity, and a background in languages or interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Philology, Linguistics or related fields.
• NRPSI (National Register of Public Service Interpreters) qualification is preferred.
• DPSI (Diploma of Public Service Interpreting) or CLI levels indicate suitability.
• Metropolitan Police CLI2/CLI3 certifications are advantageous.
• Certifications in Translation/Interpretation related fields are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and target language.
• Maintain neutrality and follow professional interpreting protocols.
• Deliver high-quality interpretations for medical, legal, insurance, government and related domains.
• Exhibit professionalism, confidentiality and ethical conduct throughout assignments.
• Support effective communication between client and limited-English speakers.
