Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join a distributed virtual operations team. You will deliver expert remote support for servers, networks, and cloud environments, ensuring stability, security, and performance across the infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, automate routine tasks with scripting, and document configurations and procedures to sustain high reliability and security in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

You will provide advanced remote support, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement solutions across servers, networks, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level remote troubleshooting and resolution for server, network, and cloud infrastructure issues.

• Manage and maintain virtualized environments, including VMWare or Hyper-V, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Implement and enforce IT security best practices, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and access control.
• Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to improve operational efficiency.
• Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps thoroughly.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure support , with a focus on remote administration.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and task management.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Server+, MCSA, or cloud certifications are a plus.
