Job summary

The Marine Skipper at Tanera is responsible for the safe operation and presentation of our vessels, delivering a professional, safe and reliable service in a remote and exposed island environment. You will plan voyages, assess weather, coordinate crew and maintain sound seamanship to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or passenger vessel operations.
• Crew transfers and marine logistics knowledge.
• Strong seamanship, boat handling and tidal planning.
• Weather assessment and passenger safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vessels, including Luggers, for passenger, crew, cargo and fuel transfers.
• Plan voyages, assess weather, coordinate crew and maintain high seamanship standards.
• Deliver a professional guest experience and ensure safe embarkation/disembarkation.
• Maintain vessel readiness, cleanliness and presentation; comply with safety procedures and incident reporting.
• Support night operations and remote island logistics as required.
