Viator, a Tripadvisor company, is expanding its Traveller Engineering team and seeking a Remote Software Engineer II with iOS experience to join our Viator squad. You will contribute end-to-end to the mobile app, engage with product and design, and help shape features from design to deployment.

The role is remote-first with periodic in-person gatherings at office hubs in Oxford or London. Proficiency in Swift/SwiftUI/GraphQL and a passion for shipping meaningful features are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of developing an iOS app and familiarity with mobile web and back-end technologies would be beneficial.
• At least 3 years experience of commercial software development, ideally with a rich user interface.
• Experience with reactive programming in native mobile platforms.
• Willingness and ability to take on new technologies.
• Ability to break down complex problems into simple solutions.
• High quality verbal and written communication skills.
• Sense of ownership and pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Code across the stack with a focus on iOS app development.
• Collaborate with Product and design to define feature specs and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Contribute to backend microservices when needed.
• Own software engineering aspects from design through QA and maintenance.
• Work with globally distributed engineering teams.
