Job summary

TXP is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month FTC. The role is remote with occasional travel to Warwickshire, offering £60,000 per year.

You will install and troubleshoot Windows Server, configure SQL Server, handle migrations and Always On, and ensure robust Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services.

The ideal candidate will document builds, lead technical discussions with internal teams and partners, and drive improvements across the infrastructure stack.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration and troubleshooting across different versions.
• Experience of SQL Server migrations, upgrades and moving workloads between environments.
• Practical experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
• Good working knowledge of VMware virtualisation.
• Solid infrastructure knowledge covering Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience producing clear technical documentation, standards, build guides, policies or guardrails.
• Ability to take technical ownership, lead investigations and work effectively with internal teams and third-party partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to propose ideas and lead technical discussions.
