Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking an IT Solution Architect to bridge business needs with technology, designing scalable, secure solutions across applications, systems, and services. The role offers hybrid work options, enabling on-site and remote collaboration in a fast-paced defence and aerospace environment.

You will contribute to technology roadmaps, governance, and architectural standards while partnering with product managers and PMO to ensure a robust architectural runway for future business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of enterprise, application, security, and network architecture principles.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions across Microsoft, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and multi-cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating business requirements into effective solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks and modelling tools (UML, ArchiMate) and IT service management best practices (ITIL).
• Exposure to a broad range of technologies and enterprise environments.
• Understanding of emerging technology trends and their application to business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Design high-level and low-level architectural designs to guide solution development across products, services, projects, and systems.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps, technical strategy and architectural principles.
• Attend governance forums to ensure architecture assurance and compliance.
• Adhere to standards and solution patterns to align with future-state architecture vision.
• Collaborate with product owners/managers to maintain an architectural runway for future requirements.
• Work with PMO to align project plans with promised outcomes.
