Job summary

Synthires is seeking a Hardware Expert (MSc. or PhD) for a remote engagement on AI training projects. You will create rigorous hardware problems, develop reference solutions, and validate results using engineering tools. Experience with coding agents is required.

This contractor role involves about 15 hours per week with task-based compensation of $60-$120 per hour. Global remote collaboration and strong documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• Significant professional or research experience in hardware engineering or a related technical field.
• Ownership of substantial engineering projects, testing, validation, or failure analysis.
• Experience working with coding agents.
• Strong quantitative reasoning and technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create technically rigorous hardware engineering problems based on realistic scenarios.
• Develop reproducible reference solutions using calculations, simulations, scripts, or experiments.
• Validate results with appropriate engineering tools and software.
