Job summary

DFN Project SEARCH is recruiting a Governance, Risk & Corporate Services Manager on a 0.8 FTE, 18‑month fixed‑term contract. The role is fully remote across the UK, with occasional travel; you will bridge the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees, turning governance into practical, proportionate processes.

You’ll lead board/committee coordination, annual report work, risk register development, policy review, and oversee corporate services and compliance across charity and company

Qualifications

• Governance experience in charity or not-for-profit sectors.
• Knowledge of charity law, company law, GDPR and fundraising regulation.
• Experience collaborating with a Board and translating governance into practical steps.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to influence a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Board and committee meetings: agendas, papers, minutes, actions.
• Lead on Annual Report and filings with Charity Commission and Companies House.
• Support trustee recruitment, induction and development.
• Develop a risk register and Board Assurance Framework with Finance Director.
• Ensure compliance across charity and company law, GDPR, safeguarding and fundraising rules.
• Develop and review key policies and provide governance training.
• Oversee corporate services including IT, insurance, facilities, health and safety.
